Any hotel or lodging facility can become a member of the AHLA. Whether you manage a hotel in Calgary or own a motel in High Prairie, we will advocate for your interests and provide the same high quality services and resources.


 Regular Member Application 

The Associate Membership is a non-hotelier membership designed for vendors, businesses, educational institutions, tourism associations, and workforce partners. It supports our goal of building a relevant, engaged, and valuable community of organizations and resources that serve the most important needs of our hotel members.

Becoming an Associate Member demonstrates your commitment to the AHLA community. It reflects your dedication to being part of a vibrant network where strong relationships are formed, ideas are shared, and business growth is supported, while setting the foundation for future opportunities shaped by member interest and need.

Your 2026 Associate Membership includes:

  • Listing in the Buyer’s Guide
  • 2026 Associate Member Logo for your digital materials
  • Subscription to Hotel Pipeline Associate Member report, featuring association updates, member insights, and industry news
  • Access to exclusive member programs – employee benefits, utilities, property & liability insurance, and TourismWorks training

The Associate Membership fee is $395 + GST for 2026.

AHLA Access

Signing up for AHLA Access enables businesses outside of Alberta’s hotel industry, such as a restaurant or office building, to take advantage of the AHLA’s cost-saving programs for an annual fee of $250 + GST for an individual location or $1000 + GST for 5+ locations.

AHLA Access can help you save money on major operating expenses such as:

The Workforce Partnership Program is a new initiative that builds formal partnerships between Alberta’s hotel industry and community organizations that support employment, training, and newcomer integration. This program creates clear pathways for job seekers — including youth, newcomers, Indigenous peoples, and other equity-deserving groups — to access industry training, employment opportunities, and long-term careers in Alberta’s hospitality sector.

By joining, partners gain direct access to the hotel and lodging industry through a suite of benefits that enhance their programming and provide tangible outcomes for their clients.
